preventing access to certain applications?

Hi,

I just wanted to know
=>If WEP can be put on the AP to prevent invalid users from entering the wireless network. How about preventing access to certain applications?

=>MAC add. filtering-are the addresses maually typed into a database? or do they automatically show up(where?) when the wireless cards are inserted?

Access to certain [lan-based, I assume] applications depend on whether or not the wireless device can access the lan.

You have to manually add each MAC address for you authorized users and change the selection mode, if present, to "Allow only." Once you enable this option, you have to remember to add new device addresses when necessary, and remove old addresses as part of housekeeping.
