HTC TOUC HD Windows start do not work

Hi

From time to time my Start icon stop working and I need to reset the machine to fix it.

Any idea?

Are you running any 3rd party softwares especially Today screen plugin or task manager?

Of course i run may SW but no today plugin and what do you mean by task manager?

3rd party task managers are programs that let you start, manage and close programs in a different way than how the OS is doing (ie. really close the program when you click X, instead of minimize?
When you mentioned Start icon stop working, is it only Start button or the entire unit froze?

No, I did not install SW to close programs when clicking X
Only the start freezes , I can see for example the status of speaker/power etc

So the unit is still working, you can still click on other part of screen or use buttons and start programs? Also are you using any themes?

You may want to hard reset (check your user manual on how to do so) back up first, then do not install any software to see if the problem still exists. If there is no problem then it is an issue with one of the software you installed. If the problem is still there after hard reset and no 3rd party software, it may be hardware issue.
