Has anyone had success (small or great) with getting any of the available unviversal remote software to work successfully on the Axim?

Speaking of which, are there specs about the capabilities of our IR components?

I've got pocket tv 5 and it works fine (this is on an ipaq). However, on the ipaq, the IR range sucks.. so i gotta be within about 3 feet of my tv to get it to work properly, however I configured it to work with the TV, VCR, as well as the technics amp that I have hooked up to my computer. pretty cool, just wish the range was better. regarding the axims, how is the IR range?

I'm not sure how well the built in IR does for using it as a remote for the Axim. I have read it was short, less than 6 feet anyway.
But there is a new product by Griffen Mobile for all ARM ppc's that extends the range up to 100 ft with a plug that goes in the headphone plug.
It seems like a good deal too for only $30.

I downloaded a remote-controle software program...I forget which one already...and tried it out on my Axim. The range was about 3 feet. I may try the extender.

The one fron Griffen Mobile, turned my iPAQ in a $1000 remote. The range is unbelievable!

I was playing a joke on my neighbor, by changing his channels when he was watching a football game.. That was too funny!:D
