Does it specifically stop you from installing program and ask you to upgrade .NET Framework? You may not need to.
If you manually installed older version then uninstall it through Remove Programs and install the new version.

well when i start the program it says that the account creation or upgrade has failed. when i looked at the files in the folder it contained a file called "CFInstaller" when I click on it, it tells me it is installing a required update then asks me whether i want to store the "Microsoft ,NET CF 2.0" to device or storage card. I choose device and hit install and it gives me an error message "a later version of the .NET CF is already installed. If you want to install this version, first remove the existing version."
Im assuming I should probably do this, as ive tried a few games on my phone as well, and gotten error messages that my .NET CF needs to be updated....
How do I go about deleting the old .NET CF I have already installed to install this update? The .NET thats already installed on my phone, was not installed by me, i bought the phone used.

Look in Start - Setting - System - Remove Programs, if it does not show in Remove Programs then it's part of OS and cannot be uninstalled.

I thought you want to downgrade it.
To upgrade just run the installer of the newer version.

You already have newest version, if the program won't run with newest .NET framework, you will need to contact software support.
