Apps will hotsync but no icons

Bought an old Tungsten E at a hamfest to use as an address book, e-book reader and mp3 player. I managed to hotsync most stuff from my ancient m515. When I installed new apps (RealOne, TCPMP players or Easy Calc), although I saw with the help of 3XCom that the apps are in RAM, no icons showed up. So I cannot launch the apps. Tried to install the same apps to m515 and icons showed OK. Any ideas?

This may be silly but check your other categories, specifically "unfiled"

Also check that you installed them to the right HotSync name on your PC. My guess (and hpe) is that you have use different HotSync names for each unit. This is very importsnt as they run a different version of PalmOS.
