I have an IPAQ 3975 Handheld. The touch screen does not seem to respond to the stylus anymore. I had it outside the previous day and it started to rain slightly. In the past if it got slightly wet I just wiped it off and let it dry out and it would work fine. Now the touch screen does not work but it will repond to when the screen goes into a dim backlight mode. I touch the screen with the stylus and it comes back to full brighness. I know water and electronics don't mix but it's not like I submerged the thing. Any solutions?? Thanks!!

Have you confirmed that this is not software issues (soft rest, backup then hard reset)?
If it's a hardware issue, I'm not sure if there is much you can do, remove screen protector if you use one. run a business card along the edge of the screen to clean it, remove the battery and clean as much as you can all the connector and buttons including ambient light sensor.

I had tried the soft reset and backed up and restored the PDA. Nothing had worked yet. I just tried the hard reset and the business card to clean the screen along the edge. When it comes up with the new screen it asks you to tap the screen to setup the PDA. When you tap the screen it then goes to the setup for aligning the screen. So it works to get to the alignement screen but then doesn't work after that. Odd. Thanks for the reply.
