I just replaced my battery. To my chagrin the backlight flex circuit broke. Luckily with a small solder iron I was able to bridge the connection with some tiny wires.
Now all is back together and works but now the internal gps antenna doesn't work. I hear that breaks easily too. Where does it break at? On the pcb or inside that flap?
I am somewhat reluctant to re-open Betty since I feel I had a minor miracle by fixing that backlight flexcircuit since I can use an external gps antenna. If soldering back the broken gps antenna cable is not too dicey I'm willing to try.
Will I have to pry appart the screen from the mboard to do this? That may stress my shade tree repair of the backlight cable. That's my concern.
