5way Navigator problems

Just started having problems today with the Navigator - won't go in any direction, although the center button seems to work fine. Occasionally it will work once or twice then stop again. I did a hard reset and problem persists. Feel likely a hardware problem and Palm is sending a replacement. Just wondering if others have had problem.

Palms owned: PalmPilot, Palm IIIx, Palm Vx, Palm m505 and now Tungsten T !

perhaps you should try removing all the files in your backup folder under the palm directory...i had the problem for a while after installing ClickStart..

after removing the program from the backup and another round of re-installation, problem solved dude!

I actually did a hard reset, but still had problem, so I don't think it's a software glitch.

Since the hard reset did not fix the problem, I would contact Palm and arrange for a replacement. You TT's problem sounds mechanical / hardware related and you don't want to void your warranty by opening the case.
