Adobe Reader for Palm OS won't work!

I recently bought a used Palm m505 and am trying to read PDF documents on my Palm.

I downloaded Adobe Reader for Palm OS 3.05 and everytime I try to HotSync both the PDA and the computer will go through a progrees bar but on the computer end it says

"Active user inconsistent with device"

I tried searching for a soultion on Adobe's end, forums, and even googling it but to no avail.

Can anybody help me?
