Charging problem with the m130

:( I have a new m130 and the battery will not charge. It shows the lightning bolt at the top but no charge. I tried using my travel charger just in case the cradle was not working. What is Wrong

Time to call Palm Tech Support and get a new unit by the sound of it. The 130 is too new for most of us to have had contact with these problems. There have been a lot of postings on other boards about battery problems on the 130.
I have no idea if this will bring you any benfit but its worth a try. With the Palm in the cradle do a soft reset and let it charge for two hours. This frequently worked on the 500 series units with charging problems. If this fails the Hard reset may be necessary. Follow this link for a very complete discussion of "Reseting."

Battery not charging ?? ... I have first hand experience. My m515 just refuse to keep the charge & battery will be fully drained after one day (even without using).

Like Dr.Mud says ... try soft/hard reset while unit is on cradle (or connect to power cable). Plam will tell you to try this if you contact them.

Other than that, it's time to get a replacement from Palm. They have indicated that sometimes, the battery is is defective and it's not going to be the first time they hear about it. You should have no problem getting a replacement unit.
