Not knowing your device type nor the method you used to put the information you need there I can only suggest you look in the "My Documents" directory for files created on the day in question.

Sync and then go into dirctory and drag and drop into your desktop harddrive.

We need more specifics to the problem and what you have tried already.

the device i am using is the 3950 and the contents are in the my documents folder of the pda however i can't get them since all i get i my pda creen is my own info nothing seems to work

i cant sync with my desktop because my pda is locked up all i get in the screen is just a white background with black writing which is my info i.e. my name phone number that stuff. when i put it in the cradle i get no responsein my computer as if nothing happened

You said your PDA was locked up, have you tried soft booting it yet?

I agree, when all else fails, try pushing the reset pin on the bottom with your stylus. You shouldn't lose any information or formatting.
