I downloaded the free DM_dictionary_all_4_1 to my IPAQ. I installed it but it said there is no dictionary open. Does anyone know how I can get hold of a good english dictionary? Is IPAQ 3850 a SH3, ARM or MIP processor?
Does anyone know a good website to download a good dictionary?
On a second question, can you install program into the SD card?
From my question, I guess you know I am a newbie..

In answer to the second question, Yes, but use the desktop/active sync installation method. If you have only the cab file try copying it to the SD root directory and running it there (or get a copy of the freeware CabInstl.
As to the first, browsing a PPC software source will reveal lots of free dictionaries from software producers; to use the dictionary, though, you have to buy the dictionary reader from the producer.

If you want a dictionary , one of the easiest ways to get one, is to download the free dictionary from microsoft to be used in Microsoft Reader. Not only does it allow you to look up works, but while reading another ebook in reader you can tap-and-hold and look up the word you selected in a popup. you might be able to find it on the reader site , which I belive (could be a lucky guess) is http://www.microsoft.com/reader/
And as said above by others, you can install programs and applications to your SD card, just have to say no to "Install <application> to default directory" then you decide which memory source it gets installed to. Be careful doing this, if you install a bunch of programs to a flash card, and use Dashboard, the desktop may take a little while to load before allowing you to access the programs.
