possible ribbon cable fault

hi all
i have just bought a series 3 classic off ebay looks good condition all works but when i switch it on 2 horizontal lines appear they go after about a second the same happens when i switch off is this a ribbon cable problem like you get on s5's or am i just worrying?

Yes it is the ribbon problem

ok thanks for your help with that the s3 still works just 2 horizontal lines are displayed for about a second on switch on and off so ill wait till it dies then get a repair
