Is it proper to ask for registration codes if you have demo shareware you like, but there is no way to register it to get full functionality? Specifically I downloaded Project Planner 1.2 - love it! None of the registration links, e-mail addresses, etc. are valid.

I have done web searches for the software & author - I even posted a thread here for leads - with no luck. I would certainly be willing to pay the registration fee if only I could.

The only known non-registered limitation is a 33 task limit, which is plenty for most projects, but I will frequently need to enter more tasks than that.

It would be a shame to scrap this nifty piece of software simply because it can't be registered.

Your suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

I'm not sure. If you really can't find the code (keep looking), it would be OK to ask for the code. However, if one of the links for registration becomes available, REGISTER IT IMMEDIATELY!! That is how I would go about it. Hope that helps.

Since you can't get to a website or contact a developer to obtain an unlock code or a full registered version of the software, I'm guessing you are out of luck on this one. There are, of course, other options that are similar, particular Natura's Project@Hand. I would check out the selections at PalmGear.
