I must have posted just about the last thread in the old system. This was my first try on any message board and to have it disappear was traumatic. Trouble was I quickly saw that I had responses but didn't have time to read them properly so perhaps you will kindly respond again.

I upgraded to Opera 5.14 from 3.62 with my Psion7 and got an immediate loss of resolution of JPEGs. No amount of changing the JPEG settings improved the result. Please help ....again.

This is a known bug in Opera 5.x for EPOC. The only current workaround, poor though it is, is to save the image to a file and view it in MBMView, or even Opera 3.62!

Presumably Opera will fix this in a forthcoming release..

Talk about deja vu, I remember your post and I replied to it !!!! God, they were the days eh?? I confirmed exactly what Yan has written above. I would use that quote 'great minds, etc, etc' but then that would probably be insulting to Yan !!

Anyway, Opera has confirmed that this will be fixed in a future release but how long we will have to wait for this future release is down to Opera. They are not renowned for their quick fixes. Stick with opera though as it still remains the best web browser available for ER5 and I am sure they will be supporting it as long as the Netbook continues using ER5.

btw if you want MBMView 4.12 then go to this link:

This is the latest from Opera ( as a reply to my chaser ):

>Still no luck with the resolution but asking around it seems that everyone has the same problem so when are you going to fix it.

From the information you provided it sounds as you are experiencing a known bug. This may be solved in a future version but I currenly have no release date. Sorry that I can not be of more help. JB
