I have a URL for MBMView (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/platodva/MBMView.htm), but I get an error when I go there. Also, trying to buy the product from Tucows, I was told that it is not available. Anyone know where I can still purchase MBMView, or how I can get in touch with the developer?
Thanks,

This is a very sad situation - the author of MBM View died quite recently, and consequently his excellent software is not currently available for download and registration.

Julie, thanks for letting me know what happened, even if the news itself is quite sad. Unfortunately, before I read your reply, I found that Regsoft was still accepting registrations. Now they have sent word on to the developer, and tell me I should get an email from him with my reg code. Obviously I won't hold my breath on that. They haven't responded to my email about these special circumstances.
Of course, I find it difficult to get upset over $30 when I think about the author and his family.
For any others looking for the same info, I have had several people tell me there was still a way to get registered, but nothing has worked yet. Hard to imagine that there really isn't an alternative. This makes it a bit more difficult to recommend the Psion when someone wants to use it in connection with their digital camera. The only other possibility I have found is Opera (v3.62, not v5.x which has graphics issues).
Thanks again,
jezza

It is sad that such excellent software now appears unavailable. I too have been trying to register.
Thought to Liuwe's family, especially at this time of year.

Have you tried 5FX from Handango.com it looks pretty good too.

I tried MBMView and 5FX originally and settled on MBMView but then didn't bother registering as I was updating the s7 to a 7book and wasn't sure if the registration code would be valid after the change.
Got round to reinstalling MBMView over Christmas, thought it was really good and wanted to register it.
Looks like I'll have to reconsider 5FX after all.

I haven't tried 5FX, though having now looked into it, I will be doing so in the next few days. Thanks for the tip!
Jack :)
