What is the best pda web browser. Something with pics would be nice and also list any other needed/purchased that has to be used with the browser.

Palmscape is the only one I know of that supports frames, so that's a good one. I use Blazer though, since it's got a nice bookmark feature. If you get charged by the kilobyte from your cell company, use Eudora Web when reading text-based sites since it doesn't display pics.

Thanx for the info. I tried advantgo and it is da bomb for iternet on pda. I went my yahoo mail box with no problem, i even looked at this board with only one problem, i couldnt login to post a reply to this. It does pics and other stuff, only thing is it has a size limit so no movies on it. Also verison ofers free internet at 19.2k and a fee for 115,200k so i don get charged a dime cept it does use miniutes but n biggie. best of all advant go is free!!!!!!!!!!!

How did you get PalmBlvd on AvantGo? Did you need to use the paid version, because when I tried it, ,it said that it exceeded the free 2mb limit.

Yea i ran into the same problem when i tried to download it to my clie the regular way. What i had to doo then was to take everything else off and set the palmblvd to only 2 clickables. Now what i do is i use advantgo as a web browser. I download everypage through my cell phone and pda cable as you would serf the web on a regular computer. Now i can serf the web from my pda. The only thing i cant do on palm blvd is reply or post, i can veiw stuff, and i can also access my email and write email. I have evn been able to browse amazon.com on my pda. I use a service through verizon which has to pda/cell phone services. The first one is free which downloads at 19.2k which is plenty fast for me, it only uses minutes ( but i have free nights and weekends so i dont run my phone bill up at all). The second service is a monthly fee (dont know the fee) which downloads at 115200k. I got the cable at the supplynet.com. If you want a link i can find one for you.

I downloaded Palmscape and it is cool too. Only got trial version, costs 30 dollars to buy. It does however let me post on palmblvd, its what i am using now. I can even edit old posts. It also has a history folder and a book mark feature. I still have a little, if anyone wants to ask a question about advantgo wireless or palm scape feel free to ask away.

Is there a way for me to connect using my computer's tcp/ip? I dont have wap, and want to use palmscape using my computer, and i dont use a modem to connect to the net.

Mr. Pink, are you asking about going on the internet via you clie in the cradle and using the cradle as a wire to use your computer modem to access internet? I tried that before and I couldn't find a way to do it, maybe someone else could help. Do you have a cell phone that you could use to connect with?

This to take into concideration when using cell phone
1. How does your wireless carrier charge internet use
-Do they charge per min or per kilobyte of transfer?
-Do you have to pay a monthly fee for service
2. does your phone have data transfer?

I use verizon wireless and they have a free network set up for 19.2k/s speed. Other wireless carriers charge differently. Maybe you can do palmscape from a phone/clie connection?

Also has anyone herd if advantgo is going to support hirez or not?

What do yall think about that Netspring Browser? It's free, but I read alot of bad Mojo about it (Not about the program, but the crap that came with the program) (I say came because it now supposedly doesn't come with tha crap, and is supposed to be good)

Any one knows?

Thanks for the suggestion Lo_Pro. I will give it a try and tell ya what I think about the program. I am already interested though because it says it supports the nr70v hirez feature, so far that is the only net program I have seen do that. The pics on the web site look nice too.

No I cant use my cell phone to use the net, cause the service is not offered. But yes i was talkin about using my cradle to use my computer for internet. But not modem, i was gonna use my LAN card, cause I dont use a modem service. Im on a LAN.
