What are the differences? What is the best.

It is difficult to answer which expansion card is better than the other.

-Compact Flash cards offer the largest sizes - they're used in most Pocket PCs
-Secure Digital (SD or MMC) cards are used in newer Palm branded devices and some Pocket PCs. They're much smaller than CF cards but are more limited in memory capacity.
-Memory Stick is Sony's.

I think the type of storage is something most people have to resign themselves to based on choice of PDA. If you like everything about a Sony Clie, then you're stuck using a Memory Stick. If you like the newer Palm devices, you're stuck with SD cards. A few devices use more than one: the Handera 330 for example has both CF and SD slots.

If you are using SD/MMC cards, in theory SD will have a speed advantage -- possibly in the future. Right now there is no real difference between SD and MMC.

Get a sony clie NR-70v :)

There's an attachment for the nr-70 series that will let you use CF cards. Wich means you could have a 1gig hd on it :D

My first question for "What should I buy" is always "What do you want it to do?"

So... what do you want from your Palm? :)
