Trying to do a favor for a friend by repairing an H220 with a bad display. Found the flex connector from the main board to the display (through the hinge) is torn and I need to find another. New or used is fine, purchase of a dead unit with intact flex certainely an option. Friend has made the mistake of having a very important file on the device that was not backed up and now needs that file. Does anyone know how to activate the external vga connector? Just need to be able to see while navigating to an area where I can print or otherwise offload the needed data. Any suggestions or parts sources greatly appreciated.

As far as i know the vga out is for displaying powerpoint presentations only and is turned on in pocket powerpoint.
Your might want to look for a broken unit on ebay for parts.

Good Idea....can find most anything on Ebay if you wait.
I may try repairing the torn cable but that will be a last resort.
whew!!! I am back, I will give this forum a try without all the negeative trash..
Ok..now if you want a LG Phenom Express Pro. I have one for sale, please send me a email and I will respond as soon as possible. I will also find out more info for the cable and if it can be fixed.
