Staples is selling the Tungsten for $469.00 in store and I purchased mine from Compusa for $499.00 2 weeks ago and immediately took my receipt and they gave back $30.00 to me.
So you guys may want to look at that.....
Don't look at Staples website because it has not been updated and it shows the price for $494.00 but in store it's advertized for $469.00

happy holidays everyone

I bought my TT at Staples the day it came out (Oct. 28) for $469.98 I think that's the standard price for the TT at Staples. Pretty good! They also had the Hard Case the same day that people who ordered them from Palm got them in the mail. I've been rather impressed with them lately.

I got mine the 2nd week of November from Amazon for $469 also - actually it came from J&R Music through the Amazon website. I don't know what the price is now, though.

Shipping is cheaper than sales taxes (on most items), so if you find it online for, say $50-$100 cheaper, GET IT!!!.

I bought mine three weeks ago and I calculate I saved $90 buying it online.

I can buy a lot of little accessories with $90...sync cables, cases, memory cards, card readers, a few pieces of software, etc. I am spending my extra 90 bucks with no regrets, optimizing my little machine. Next: that 256mB SD.

BTW, did someone say they were having problems moving/running programs off the card? I definately want to get some of my onboard memory back and load my card with docs, a few pieces of music, some pics and programs. I should post this question as a new thread...

Shop around then put your stake in the ground (because prices will continue to drop but why be without?). :(

Slm2fly,

Thanks for the info. I bought mine at Office Depot. I went to the local Staples, had them print me a copy of the price, went back to Office Depot and they are going to refund me the $30.00 difference. Additionally, the employee I spoke with gave me an extra $15.00 coupon. So you saved me $45.00.

Thanks.
