Extremely Short Battery Life w/ m505

Help... I experience extremely short battery life [ e.g. 1 to 2 days w/ moderate use ] w/ my m505 unit.

IT was replaced by factory approx. 1 year ago due to a broken SD card slot.

If anyone knows of the issue/fix please submit.

My m515 had the same problem right from the day I got it ... never managed to keep the battery charge.

I contacted Palm and they suggested soft & hard reset while unit is on the cradle. Tried it but didn't help ... I had to contact Palm and they arranged to have the unit replaced.

Palm indicated the fault lies with the battery. You may have the same problem. Contact Palm & see what they say.

I agree with PilotUser. I will say that your time frame of two days with light use might indicate another problem. OS 4.0 had a tendency to get hung up on alarms and on other types of auto start applications. You may want to set your Palm in a position that allows you to see the screen/ In this position you may want to keep it in the corner of your eye and wait for it to come on by itself. If you get lucky and see this it may be part of the problem. Time for so house cleaning in the apps department. The early versions of Palm's back light app caused this type of problem.
Another battery waster is the IR Beam ON in an environment that has a lot of IR activity.
