Connecting Palm III accessories to m100/105

I know that because of different connectors, most of you 1xx series folks are in a different ballpark, but could anyone with a palm m100 or m105 enlighten me about their luck in using palm III accessories? The connector is supposedly the same pin arrangement, but the curved plastic on the m100 keeps it from docking properly on some devices. Is this true? What devices work and which present problems?

Since I'm more of a function than a form person, should I consider shaving the curved lip off my m105 to fit palm III series peripherals? I can get them very cheaply.

I'm afraid I don't know the compatability with most accessories, but I do know that the PalmIII and m1xx do use the same Stowaway keyboard: one of the most useful Palm accessories. My two cents.
