Has anyone successfully created a GPRS connection using this combo? I'm looking for step by step instructions.

I tried using Phonelink Updater, but the 7210 isn't listed. I also don't see anything for "generic" GPRS.

Any ideas appreciated!
Thanks!

...and how did you set it up?

In my network connections, when I pick US, ATT GPRS, ATT Internet GPRS, ATT IP GPRS, all of them give an error.

Not to sound negative, but I don't get 100% "always on" connectivity with the 2 appliances. They're (Palm TT and SE T68i), together, the only reasons I upgraded my m505 and Nokia 8xxx phone.

I had the problem where I didn't have the most recent Phone_Link_Drivers, so AT&T wasn't even listed. I finally diagnosed and ascertained that the most recent drivers had the necessary wonderfulness to fulfil my needs.

That, and after talking to a Palm Customer Care representative, we discovered the same step-by-step instructions you're looking for, oriontt.

This link here (http://www.palm.com/be/ie/support/tt_plu.html) gives the best instructions money can buy.

Hope this helps.

My problem is that even when they're paired and trusted, I can't always get an honest-to-goodness dependability with the connectivity.

Still ironing it out. Wish me luck.

Happy Holidays.

unfortunatley my problem is that the 7210 isn't on the list supported by Phonelink. I've sent an email to palm support, maybe they'll be able to create whatever is necessary to support it.

Maybe you could try another Nokia phone that just has IR? Like a Nokia 6510?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather not change the phone since I've been waiting several months to get it. I like the phone alot, except it doesn't have bluetooth.

I got an email from palm support saying that they are looking into making drivers for the 7210, so i can only wait and hope.

No, that's not what I meant. What I meant was - try changing the phone's DRIVERS on the PDA. Just use the 6510's drivers, it's a Nokia phone and since you'll be connecting via IR it shouldn't matter.

YES! That was it. Thank you!

I actually thought of this earlier, but tried the wrong model number, something from the 8000 series. It worked for IR (SMS), but not for GPRS. But the 6510 works for the 7210.

I was looking for this info earlier, and this helped too: connect a TT to t68i (http://www.palminfocenter.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7891)

However, the phone update "stuff" helped too. I'm not sure which works better, but they both worked for me.
