Hi All
Have not used psiwin to synch files yet and was just wondering how it copes with agenda entries with a word object embedded ? Can one still access the word attachment once synched to PC. Also what happens if you have password protected the word object can one still access said object.
In connection with this I have both Lotus organizer and outlook on my PC and am slightyl favouring Lotus - anyone have any comments/opinions/experience on any benefits of either one of these over the other ?
Thanks
Stefan

Stefan,
Embedded word objects are handled slightly differently between Organizer and Outlook. The Word object is put in the Notes field of the appointment in Outlook and appended to the description field in Organizer. If you password protect the word object, then it won't transfer at all since neither program has a corresponding field that would allow you to enter a password.
Organizer and Outlook both use categories for the to-do lists. What ever name you give your to-do list is added as a category in either program. When you show the to-do's by category, you get the same effect as multiple to-do lists in the Psion.
You can sync to Organizer. The CD comes with support for versions up to 4.1. You can download an update from the Psion website that allows you to sync with Org 5 or 6.
As to which is better, there are strong and weak points with both programs. Outlook deals with word objects in appointments better than Organizer. Organizer contacts sync with more fields than PsiWin transfers from Outlook. Outlook is far more customizable than Organizer but Organizer is easier to learn. I would set up two sync tasks and try syncing to both Organizer and Outlook. You should be able to decide then which is best for you.
