I got a certified letter from Palm today stating that the unlimited wireless plan is no longer available. The new plan limits you to 1,000 kb a month. I typically use around 5,000 kb a month! The letter stated that if I keep using the Palm after 2/12/2003, I agree to the new plan (I DON'T!) Going by my averages, my monthly bill will be around $435.00 a month if I use the same amount of "bandwidth" as usual.

I am looking for another option. It needs to be unlimited and allow mw to send/recieve/forward email wirelessly in Knoxville, TN. and most Metro areas. Palm uses Mobitex (Cingular) data system. I would like something that did not use that as Cingular might be the reason Palm stopped the unlimited plan. Maybe Cingular stopped allowing Palm unlimited and Palm simply passed the buck so to speak. I would hate to enter into another plan only to have this happen again. Any ideas for me? Thanks.

Just got my letter, it was lost in the mail, my monthly rate will go up to over $120 a month.

While I live the PALM, I just cannot aford to use it anymore.

So I will sell it and trade it for a Windows based handheld.

Palm screwed us all over royally
