HanDbase and Encryption

Does anyone have any feedback on the relative effectiveness of the encryption and security options inside of HanDBase 3.0? I am considering building my own database for storage of personal data, and would like some feedback on how much I can trust this product for security. Are there simple ways that would defeat the security, or is it pretty robust?
