Question...and forgive me if I sound stupid. I couldn't find the answer in a quick read of the index of the tungsten manual or fold-out.

I installed two mp3's onto my 32 meg expansion card and enjoyed a slightly less than stellar sound quality experience using aeroplayer. Anyway, then I tried to remove them, only they don't show up in the delete menu and not with beam box either.... How do I remove them? Do I need a card reader for the PC?

I am pretty novice, but using launcherX, I go into card tools, then select in the upper right hand corner "card". frm there I can delete, beam, move, etc.

OR, you can go into "Apps", select "delete", then you again, need to select "card". It will itemize all your "stuff" on the card and you can delete.

If this is confusing, let me know and I will try to be more articulate. Also, if you are using LauncherX, it automatically (or some program) set up a music file and all mp3's are in that.

Geesh, I just read what I wrote and it sounds confusing. Try it and if I have thoroughly confused, let me know and I'll try to be more concise

The later process you described using the 'apps' menu to select
'delete' and than scroll down to find the file to delete is the process that I first attempted to use. None of the mp3 files showed up on the list and no file extensions existed with file sizes large enough to have been the two mp3 I put on (one mp3 file is about 4 meg and there other is almost 6mb). So since I can't find them on this list, I can't delete them from it...

I don't have launcher X, or do I and just have no idea what that is?....If launcher x is on this device, please help me find it, and if not, please direct me to where I may download it...

Thanks

Doc, Launcher X is an add-on program for your TT that has additional features that your built-in Palm launcher doesn't have, like tabs, drag & drop, etc.

You can get it at Palm Gear or Handango or Launcher X has it's own website at http://www.launcherx.com

I think that if you try a free program called Filez you will be able to see the mp3 files that are on your card & then you can delete them.

You can get Filez at Palm Gear or Handango as well.

Yeah, that won't work. The cheapest way is to download freeware Filez. Then you can see the mp3s on your card. But I do suggest you also get a card reader. It is easy to download mp3s off you card with the palm, but loading them via hotsync is too long.
BTW, I have LauncherX. I like it. I also evaluated SilverScreen's launcher. LauncherX is not freeware but for me it makes managing my palm stuff easier and since I use my TT every day and take it everywhere, it was worth it to me. I count about 52 apps icons on my TT...I prefer category tabs to the pulldown menu, and the launcher tools are also nice.
