Is there any particular reason I should use the Palm Desktop for Clie as opposed to the Generic Palm Desktop? My 615C disk doesn't want to install, (gives me a Kernal.exe error), so I re-installed Palm Desktop 4.0 on my laptop, and it Syncs just fine.
That being said, is there any beneift to the Clie version, or can I continue using the Palm version I've been using for years?
Other than that, I love the machine. The shuttle dial makes up for the questionable page up/down toggle.
Thanks in advance,
Bill Gibbs

The Clie desktop, and Palm desktops for 4.1 PalmOS include an option to install programs directly onto a memory stick rather than in RAM memory.

So, I can use the Palm desktop 4.1 that I am using with my M125 with the Clie as well? Makes my life easier, let me tell you.
So far it works fine, but I haven't put a memory card in yet
How would I upload to the memory card? Sorry it this has been covered before, I should have checked the archive first.
Bill
In the install tool there is a button the says Change Destination. If you click on this button it opens a screen that allows you to move the apps to the MS. When it syncs, it will put thosee apps right on the MS.

Thanks for your help, and I promise to search the archives before asking any more silly questions. I bought the 615t to replace my Palm iiixe that ran out of memory. I figured it would be years before I needed to expand the memory, but I found so many neat things I could do, that 3 days later, I'm going shopping.
Thanks again to everybody for your patience and consideration with a new guy, (to Clie, anyway)
Welcome to the world of Clie blackbelt!!
Enjoy!
