Hello folks
since some time I am experiencing following problem

suppose select xxx.txt (file)
enter
normally opened in a word-txt-mode
now I get:
Program Closed
Editor
Reason code STORE-Store
Reason number 1

What might that mean?
How can I get things to normal again
(working on a netbook)
Thanks for any advice
John

Sorry, don't quite understand. Do you mean that text files used to open up in Word when double-tapped, and now you get that error instead?

If so, first thing to try would be a soft reset. If this doesn't fix it, you could instead install a (free) pure text editor program such as RMRText.

You could also try to delete Word's .ini file in c:system/apps/word/.

This sometimes sorts out problems.

Good luck.

Hello Yan
thank you for replying
I tried a soft reset but to no avail

It puzzles me what might have caused that problem
(you understood the problem right)

I am using rmrtext in the meantime
but it is not associated to txt files automatically
can that be done?

and... happy psioneering in 2003

Yes, file associations can be made deliberately, using PlOpen - check under the heading 'Recognizers' on this page:
