I just bought a new Clie T615 after dropping and smashing the screen of a longtime friend, Palm IIIx.

So far the battery's working fine, synching is as expected, etc. But ... when I first set up the PDA, I guess I installed demo versions of gMovie, PG Pocket & PhotoStand, none of which I want on the system. Together they take up a ton of memory that I'd rather use for other apps for now. But when I go to the standard Delete screen none of these appear. So how do I go about getting them off my PDA?

Thanks.

Happy new year!

Those apps are standard on the Clie models. The only way to remove them is to erase them from flash memory using JackSprat. If you do this, please take note of the precautions and make a good ROM backup.

Since these programs occupy rom, they don't occupy part of the 16MB ram that you load apps onto. And since I don't know of any program that will enable you to use your entire free rom (they say about 2mb is actually free, and jackflash only can use about 200K), it's best if you just leave it there.

Who knows, you may need them one day.
