Are there updates you can download to update the Epoc OS, from say V3 to V4 for instance, or does v4 not exist?

No - operating systems for devices other than the S7 and netBook cannot be upgraded, with one exception.

The Series 5 used the ER2 OS but this was upgraded to ER3 when Message Suite v1.52 was installed.

ER4 was only used in the Oregon Osaris

ER5 is used in the Revo, Mako, 5mx, MC218, S7, netBook and netPad.

I think I heard the 5mx Pro is upgradable and POS recently did a refurbish on a load to work with english OS (not the original german), and they changed the keyboards etc. about £250
