Bluetooth disconnection with ActiveSync

I've just bought a iPaq 3970 and a Mitsumi Bluetooth adaptor for me PC. They both connect and bond with each other and I have set-up internet pass through in ActiveSync to enable me to use the Internet via my ADSL line. However ... the problem I have is that after about 5 minutes the ActiveSync connection drops for no apparent reason but the Bluetooth bonding continues to exist. In order to reactivate the link I need to reboot most times.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack installed.

Can anyone help me?

The iPAQ has a problem with your model and 1 other model and Compaq does not know how to fix it.

Activesync drops. It can happen when your iPAQ is in the cradle. It will just stop
communicating and they have no fix as of yet.

Hmmm

I get the same sort of behaviour from my HP568 - randomly and without warning the Activesync connection will die, or sometimes appear to be working but stop anyway. The only way to get it working is to remove/reinsert the Bluetooth CF card and restart the connection...
