Can't delete Parntership

Hi all,

I have a previously setup partnership that I want to delete. I remove the iPaq from the cradle and select 'Delete Partnership' from ActiveSync. All goes well, files are deleted and 'Guest' appears in ActiveSync. When I try to set up a new partnership though, the previous name is automatically used, and I don't to get to assign a new name to it. It seems that there is something that wasn't deleted and parts of the old partnership remains. Apart from resetting the iPaq, is there another way of TOTALLY deleting the old partnership and starting from scratch?

Yes, I could try that as a last resort, I suppose.

Change the name of the device. Then you can set up a new partnership if you want. After the device is renamed, you can delete the partnership from the PC side ActiveSync.

OK. That sounds good - how do I rename the device though? On the device itself or through ActiveSynch? Thought I'd tried to do this, but I'm just going round in circles!!

On your device go to settings. then click the system tab. then click the "about" icon. click on the device id tab at the bottom. There it is
