 I received a Zire for Christmas, it is the first handheld I have owned. I downloaded the palm software into my pc and I can change addresses, appts. ect. so I know that it works fine, downloaded the checkbook software, and it works wonderfully on the Zire, but I can't get it to work on my computer. What am I doing wrong?

Could you give us a little more information. What software are you using, what version, etc.

It was "ultrasoft checkbook 2.1.3." it was a 30 day trial period. Could this be the problem? Also do you know how to find out how much memory is in use, or how much you have left? I know this isn't the proper terminology, but can you understand what I am asking? If I am running out of free space, would deleting some of the applications help alot? Is there a way to tell how much an application is using? I am new to this.......please have patience with me. Thanks, Teresa

I am unfamiliar with ultrasoft checkbook, but maybe someone else can help you out with that. I know that in general, Palm apps don't work on the pc unless you also have a desktop version. Unless of course ultrasoft is supposed to share data with something like Quicken. You can also go to the place where you downloaded this program from and try to learn more about it. There could be an e-mail address for tech support.

To find out how much memory is used go to dropdown menu, then info. That will tell you how much free space you have left and list the programs and how large they are.

To delete apps, go to dropdown menu again, then delete, chose which one you want to delete, and then hit OK.

Hope this helps.

It may not have a corresponding application for the computer.

If your 30 days are up, it may have stopped working.
