Hi everyone...

Just got my Palm i705 for Christmas. Love it. There's one thing that isn't a big deal but it's a little annoying (for me, anyway). Here goes...

I use a few screen names for AIM. One is public (as in, my friends and family know it) and the others are private. Whenever I input my screen name, it auto-completes after the first couple or so letters. Is there a way to make it stop doing that? Reason being, if I let a friend use my Palm to get on AIM, I don't want them to accidentally find out my private screen names, especially if the first few letters of their screen names matches my private ones.

I cleared the cache and turned the cookies off, but no luck. Any help or relevant information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance...

I'm not sure if there is an easy way to do this. I've always wanted to know how though. Maybe if you back up your data, do a hard reset and then sync again. Might be worth a try. Good luck.

Hey there--

Glad someone responded to my post. Backing up and doing a hard reset sounds like a hassle but probably would work. Thanks for the suggestion, Eric! Not sure if I want to give it a try yet but will do so when I'm desperate. <grin> Hopefully someone out there knows of an easier way and post here.

Thanks again!

You're welcome. It is actually not too big of a hassle. As long as you back up your data there is nothing to worry about. Good luck.
