Hi,

I would like to know what are the specs for the Psion 5 power supply will any standard 6v 500ma power pack work with the right plug and the tip + . Or does it need a specific volate / current rateing ?

The official Series 5 mains adapter is 6V 1000mA and positive tip. The reason for the high current rating is so that it can power the Series 5, PC Card Adapter and a PCMCIA modem simultaneously.

If you are only powering the S5, 500mA should suffice but be certain to use a regulated supply as voltage fluctuations otherwise could be harmful.
