locking apps

is there any application that will lock other apps with a password. i would like to use one that is freeware. thx.

I have never seen a freeware "locking" app for the Palm. As a resource try eurocool.com for possible apps.
As a source of information on the process you may want to go to tranzoa.com and look for the transcript of the talk that Alex (creator of the locking software "only me") gave at Palm Source. This will give you an overview of the subject.
Three good locks are "Only Me", "Cloak" (Chapura.com) and "TealLock."
Study them all and then perhaps write your own loacking app.
