Hi folks,

I just purchased a Siemens SX56, at Pocket PC 2002/Pocket Phone device. I had/have some challenges relating to connecting to the Internet via the USB cradle. Here is what I think I have learned:

The pass through feature of Active Sync 3.5 only supports TCP connections. So Internet Explorer, or any other HTTP browser will work fine, as will other TCP based stuff. But UDP and ICMP are not supported. This means that a ping program and WAP browser (which uses UDP for transport) will not work in the cradle. (The same software works fine over GPRS.)

So, my questions for you all:

1.) Do I have the above correct?
2.) Does anyone know of software that has been written to allow UDP to pass through when the device is in the cradle?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Kevin
