Hi All

Just wondering, in the 3 series there was an option to compress the agenda files. I see no such option on the 5mx - does it not exist ?

Is it something to do with the different operating systems that the 5 series don't need the agenda files to be compressed, does it happen automatically ?

What's the story ?

Thanks

stefan

Stefan,

The agenda (and Contacts) files compress automatically. However, I also run an application called Compact every so often which will compress all of my agenda and data files (and many others) on command. You can get it from Ralph Sprenger's site which is at http://www.psionwelt.de/ralphsprenger/RSProgs.htm

nArchive from www.neuon.com is perhaps one of the best pieces of shareware that I have purchased. It allows you to compress individual files (which can be uncompressed from the system screen and then recompress automatically upon closing) as well as compressing groups and installed apps.

It is around $20 USD but is well worth the price! It will allow you to store tones of data, etc. on your machine. (somewhere around 24 megs on my 16 meg Mako, but have read that it would be equivalent to 28 megs if fully used).
