Hey,
I'm new to the PDA world, seeing as I don't really have one yet.
I've been looking around the internet for a while, but I can't always find the most, err.. adequate information.
What it seems to me is that the major difference between the 505 and 515 is about 8megs of on-board memory.
Are there any other things of major import that I should know about? It seems rather silly to charge an extra $100 for that little bit of space... has to have something extra to it.
Thanks.

My personal experience tells me that the 515 is more stable than the 505. I am a very aggressive user on my Palm and want my main apps in RAM Memory (8 vs 16) and so the memory is big for me. Without getting into the exceptions here, only apps and their databases that are in RAM will be updated during the hotsync cycle. The screens are the same but the lighting of the 515 is much better. When I lay my 505 beside my 515 both with their back light on the 515 on it LOW setting is brighter than the 505 on its max setting. How important the lighting is has more to do with your environment that the Palm. I have poor overhead lighting in my office and the 515 on low is great.
I also use a wireless modem to conduct business on the net and via email. This takes more memory and so another reason that I needed the 515.

That is more or less what I thought.
Thank you for your input. :)
Might want to check out the Sony Clies.
MUCH nicer screens, hi resolution. Also the Sony's have built in speaker instead of a piezo, which is what the Palm m5x5's come with (allows you to use MIDI sounds for alarms, instead of just chirps and beeps!)
Sony T665 also includes built in MP3, jog wheel, a second, more powerful infra red along with Remote Control software to use for controling T.V., VCR, Stereos, etc., all included!
If that isn't enough to convince you to at least compare the T665 or NR series to the m5x5, you can get the T665 for LESS $$$, AND it comes with a 66mHz processor, twice what's included in the m505 (33mhz).
Sony seems to be pushing the PalmOS envelope, while Palm seems to be resting on their laurals.
I don't own Sony stock, I just love the features and quality they've brought to the PalmOS (and I've been using Palm devices since the Palm Personal)
I only wish Palm would be pushing the envelope and adding features along with Sony.
