Pda viewability

I have been of the opinion that pda's just dont have enough viewable space. They either make the areas too small to see, or not enough room to work. For instance, Palm's appear to have a lot of veiwable space but they dont because of the graffiti area. I have always felt they could include that in teh veiwable area. I know handera did this but they shouldnt not be the only ones doing this.
PPC's are great, but same issue I have. I think it is because I have used a Psion and Revo and it has so much more veiwable area than the rest. Of course the NOkia 9290 has good veiwable area. I do realize that each pda company has pro's and con's to their hardware. I would like to see a PPC with a wider view. I cant say I exactly how the hardware should look but it makes sense considering it is how we look at things normally with screens. :D

I think bigger pockets in shirts and pants would be great. PDA Screens about 8.5" x 11" would be familiar, maybe yellow with blue lines. And when you scratched your screen you could just tear it off along the perforations. I think we are on to something!

Actually, it seems that lots of people, like you, have this feel. As a matter of fact, I am in the process of designing a way for that to be possible... Anyway, there are some devices that work. Microsoft's Tablet PC initiave would provide 10.1" diagonal screens, but I believe that that is too big to be portable. A 7.8" diagonal would be perfect. Rotten shame that the Newton went away!

Apple seems to be in the processs of coming out with a new .....what ever....tablet....palmtop?? Who knows but the talk on the street is yes they are coming out.

Yeah, i hope to see more viewability,but then again if the designers dont want it....
then again, even if they know it would be good they will only push what they are interested in.
