Hi.

Just wonder if someone in this world uses HP 680 with Mobile phone via Infrared?

I can send SMS, faxes but can't use HP Dialup (port collisions).

I was told by HP that there is no way of using HP 680 with Mobile phone via IRDA.

Please help if someone knows how to make it working.

Regards
Serg

Hi There...

Did you ever get a reply to this message - I too have a 680, and would like to use the IR port on my phone to access email etc...

Many thanks,

Nick.

I think that the HP Dialup is the same for the 680 and the 720 but I'm not sure. I use my Siemens S45 via IR to get my emails (no browsing because the GPRS is ver expensive ;) ) and basically what I do is to dial *99# using the IR port and that's it. You have to create a dial up connection first indicating that you will use an IR modem. Them you have to create a location in the HP Dial up where you just dial the phone number, no code, no 1, no nothing, just the number, them all you need is select your dial up connecition and that location that you just created, and that's it. Be sure you don't select the call waiting option. ;)
