Hi,
Has anyone been able to transfer files between a 218 and an iPAQ? I have installed the Mobile Connectivity upgrade "patch" and use a piece of Shareware called pIBeam (which overcomes the obstacle of only being able to send/receive single records, etc.) but despite this, I still have no joy!!
Any ideas out there?
Thanks!

Dave,
I'm not aware of any software that allows you to send files between a Psion and IPAQ, as compared to things like appointments and contacts. A posible workaround, assuming the IPAQ has a compact flash sleeve, would be to copy the file your CF and then use the CF to transfer the file to the IPAQ.

Hi,
I downloaded but have not installed yet a FTP-server for the MC218 (available on this page). That might solve the problem if you have a FTP-client on the iPAQ.
But I have not tested this, nor with any other hardware, it's just a suggestion.

hi!
check plbeam, an application for infra-red. According to the site it can transfer and exchange files from psion to windows, palm, pocket pc, 9210, etc.
here's the site...

for pocket pc/windows CE, you need to install a software from pacemaker.
hope this helps!

Thanks everyone who's replied! I have the Pibeam software on the 218. What I'm obviously missing is the Pacemaker software for the iPAQ!
Cheers!
