Everone is a junior member because vBulletin software keeps track of the number of posts each user enters.

It's considered a valuable feature because it helps visitors to the site know who is new and who has been around a while. vBulletin also has other features that help users get to know each other. The other software was not designed for that.

Unfrotunately, everyone has had to start fresh as the old software did not track this information.

I've explained some of the other reasons why we made the change in this thread.

I had quite a few post points built up and I now have to start out fresh. WHAT A WASTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I also liked the way the board was set up before, it was easier to browes through the "knowlege data base".

They could have kept track of the # of posts because it was done on cliesource.com just recently, as well as the categories.

On other boards using this software (BrightHand, for example) users are able to set their own description, so it is obvious that the administration here has disabled that feature.:(

With the vBulletin software we are using, every member can set their own profile and make customizations, such as having a unique signature or icon with their photo. However, you can't change your own post count. The system software does that.

We have been working to restore the post counts users had earned under the old system and already you will see that many people have lost their "junior" status now that the numbers were updated.

If you feel we missed you, drop a note to James, the administrator. Last I heard, we were down to number 200 in the database.

We do have the old records, so we will be verifying!

I've gone ahead and manually restored post counts to all old members who had 15 posts or more under the old system. If I missed you, let me know. I'd be happy to correct your post totals.

Does it really matter how many posts you or the next guy have....
I don't care if it's someones 1st or 100th post as long as it helps someone out, thats whats important..right?
