Sync works with IR but not through USB. Any Suggestions?

My Axim sync's perfect with my old 400mhz home desk top computer. It also sync's perfect with my company provided latitude through the IR port. It also works for all the Outlook data through the USB/Cradle. The part that does not work is the files, favorites, and avantgo. It does start but then stops. I have reinstalled the USB driver, I loaded activsync 3.6 and I have had my IT group spend about 2 hours working on it with no success. Any suggestions?

I also have a Latitude, the USB will not recognize the Ax. I downloaded ActiveSync 3.6 and it still doesn't work. How is your IR port set? What driver are you using for the USB?

As of 15 Jan I got my IR port to work. All of the tasks work fine.
