z50 ethernet problems

i'm hoping someone can help me out, i'm trying to install the ibm etherjet adaptor that i bought at a computer fair on my z50. when i load it it just says, 'Network card in Socket 1'. It prompts me to enter a driver name but I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions??

Leave the name to the default that it suggests and click OK.
Then Add the driver for the card from the PC or a Compact Flash card... That's what I had to do to make my netcard work with my Mobilon. The driver on the system is trying to load NE2000 default drivers for the card and unless the Card is NE2000 compatible it won't work unless you add the CE drivers for that card. Be aware not every card has CE drivers... check the website of the card manufacturer.

Was the version of the IBM netcard you have made for
Windows CE use? Have you tried the IBM website for support?

If not, you will mostly likely not be able to get it working unless
the net card is also NE2000 compatible.
