Does any one know of a way to connect the TT via a Serial cable to Cisco Router or any device that has a RJ45 Console port. What I'm trying to do is pitch my laptop when I have to go look at a remote sites that are having problems that can't be solved locally.

To connect to these devices I currently you use Hyperterminal loaded on a Laptop or PC and have the following cable connection setup:

Laptop/PC->Serial to RJ45 Adapter ->RJ45 Rollover Cable->Devices Console Port

Also, what software would I need to use on the TT. I don't have a cell phone and don't plan on getting one untell I go back to Europe, to expensive in the States IMHO.

Thank you in advance.

Heh, I know that I can do this with my old Windows CE 2.0 palm size PC :)

There are probably loads of terminal applications available but you would probably need a serial hotsync cable, and then the application would need to recognize that.

I'm sure its possible ;)

I use a m500 to program smart card readers on a standard RS232 line. The TT is **supposed** to use the same cable. I recommend buying the cable from palm for quality reasons. If you buy a cable to *connect your GPS* to your palm the same connector you used on your laptop will work (pins 2 and 3 will be swapped). As far as terminal software there are several, none I know well enough to recommend. http://www.markspace.com/ has a VT100 terminal that I have not tested.
Have Fun!
