I was just curious as I'm getting a Nokia 8390 anyday now and I've noticed that since it is a GRPS enabled phone, you can apparently connect it to a IrDa compliant handheld to use a wireless modem. I have an Ipaq 3600 with PocketPC 2002. Is there anybody out there that has gotten this setup to work?

Although my main interest is Psion devices, I do have an HP Jornada Pocket PC which I have connected to the internet via Infrared using Ericsson and Siemens GSM phones as well as Psion's Infrared Travel Modem.

In principle, there shouldn't be a problem using the 8390 as an IR modem, though GPRS will be more complicated to configure than a basic GSM connection.
