Is it possible to use a CF Wireless card on a laptop as well as a PDA? I have a PCMCIA adapter already so it would be nice to just buy a CF wireless card and be able to use it on both, has anyone done this or know if it would work?

Yes, it can be done... This adapted will save you a lot of money, eventhough these adapters are only a few dollars... Good find!

I asked the LinkSys technical support people if their WCF11 or WCF12 CF adapters were compatible with laptops, and the technician said that they were not compatible. Since I already have a CF PC card adapter for my laptop, I picked up an Ambicom CF card at Best Buy, which comes with a driver for laptop use. It installs well and seems to be getting a signal, but I haven't been able to get it to connect to the WAP yet. I probably just need to adjust some of the settings.
Of course, a PC card WiFi adapter at Best Buy is only another $40 . . . .

I am using the Linksys WCF12 CF WiFi card in a Dazzle PCMCIA adapter (cost 13 bucks from CompUSA) and it works fine. I had to manually install the drivers from a Linksys PCMCIA WiFi card, but it works fine. Linksys may not support it, but it will work if you need it to.
I am sure that the Netgear card, SMC, D-Link and others would work the same.
