I have a 3360. You can beam phone numbers to and from the m515. Just turn on IR on the phone (menu 9 on the phone) first. For data, you will have to look in the Nokia manual. Also so you need data service. I can't do data because ATT Wireless has no data service. :(

the Nokia 3390 doesnt have the IR sensor like the 3360, i was wondering if there was a wire i could hook up my palm m515 to my nokia... do you know if Cingular has the "data transfer"?

Here is a place that sells a wide variety of cables:

As for data service with Cingular - I don't know. Kind of like asking them to be an Internet service provider. They might.

Trying to use my Nokia 3390 as a modem from my palm. it would be awesome if I could use the built in GSM data pack stuff that my AIM (on the nokia itself) uses, but I can probably get one of my friends to give me a free dialup.
I got a cable from here:
http://store.yahoo.com/tang-shop/palvtonok333.html
and I hooked it up sandwiched between the battery and the phone to that data jack underneath the battery. When I try to connect via Serial->Modem from my Palm Vx, it keeps telling me 0x1106 modem not found.
I'm dialing my home number to test it for now. It's not ringing at all. I think my problem is I need the proper modem AT initialization stirngs, but I can't seem to get anybody at the T-Mobile support desk to give them to me.
I've tried AT init strings from these places:
http://www.gcrsoft.co.uk/data.html
http://downloads.nokiausa.com/pcsuite/6370pcsuiteguide.pdf
but... nothing seems to work.
Anybody got the 3390 working at all?
